We are looking for a Social Media Manager who wants to join our fast growing social department and work on our leading clients – incl. Philips (global), Garden Gourmet, and local clients such as KFC, Ford, Halotop, etc. Do you want to be part of a tight team of local and international creative talents – working collaboratively, but also thinking and acting independently? This unique opportunity offers the chance to work in close collaboration with the strategic and creative teams of Ogilvy, and with some of the best social & content experts in the industry. Your mission: to create new and original content for social programs or integrated campaigns with social at heart.  

The Basics:

To be the voice of our client’s brands on social channels by managing social publications and unlocking the full power of conversations in the digital space. Generate social concepts and translate these campaign ideas into creative content that is both compelling and innovative.

Working in collaboration with the Account Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of the strategy.

    Responsiblities:
  • Generate social concepts and translate these campaign ideas into creative content that is both compelling and innovative.
  • Challenge brands to put current social trends to the test.
  • Be able to justify to colleagues why you chose a particular idea, font, color, composition or subject choice to answer a particular brief.
  • Use of Photoshop, traditional illustration skills or photography in order to create visual communications that answer any given creative brief.
  • Be an active advocate of anything and everything that's creatively inspiring.
  • You’ll be sensitive to the nuances of conversation and interaction – enabling them to articulately and swiftly frame responses to both positive and negative comments and conversations streams.
  • You’ll be working with the Ads Department where necessary to engage audiences by coordinating amplification (briefing, follow up, optimization, reporting supervision).
  • You’ll understand how available social tools can shape, facilitate and evolve the messages we are creating.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of media Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of your clients.
  • You’ll be supporting the Account Manager in Project management. 

The Essentials:

  • Excellent oral and written skills (English/ Dutch)
  • A thorough understanding of (and appreciation for) social media, understanding the visual trends of each social platform, the content formats available to use and how they can be leveraged creatively.
  • The ability to draw/illustrate, experience in photography, video or basic motion-graphics skills would be an extra plus.
  • First class organizational skills. Organized and efficient planner, proven ability to multi-task.
  • A keen eye for detail and an understanding of budget restraints.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • The confidence to give clients trust in your work.
